last day
We had our farewell assembly today, and surprisingly, almost the whole class turned up. I thought that quite a few people would be missing, but in the end only Lynn and Wei Han were not around. All the speeches in the beginning were rather boring, and most of us just ended up stoning or doing something else. It was only when they started the video that people turned their attention to the screen. Everyone was trying to see when their class photos would be flashed, which was not an easy thing because the photos were so small, and the only difference you could see from the distance was the civics tutor, since the rest of the students were all in grey. But nice effort by the IT club anyway.
Sang The National Dream after that, with everyone standing up, singing and swaying to the music after that. I don’t know how the guys managed to carry Mr Bek all the way up to the stage and throw him up, but somehow they just did.

Over the past few days some of us had been doing some of the decorations, and on the day of the celebrations An Qi, Ying Jia and a few others lured Hui Yian away while the rest decorated the classroom. Hui Yian realised that we were behaving really weird, but she didn’t suspect that we had a surprise for her, which certainly was a good thing.
I think she’s so lucky to have someone who would go all out to make her birthday a special one for her.
