carolling
I decided to go for carolling after all, and it was a whole new experience for me. This year, we went to 3 organisations instead of others’ houses, a home for the elderly, a home for the intellectually disabled and a hospital. The elderly home was pretty ok, we just talked to the old folks there and gave them presents.
When we went to the home for the intellectually disabled, I was a little shocked, as it was nothing I had expected. It just kind of scared me to see so many people at the same time, something I was not used to. But after interecting with them, most of us felt more comfortable.
The hospital visit was the one I enjoyed the most. We went from ward to ward, and a dislysis ward. Some of the patients started crying when we sang for them, and others just enjoyed our presence there. We also prayed for a few of them. There was this lady who kept asking us to sing more songs after we finished each one.

We were supposed to end by 7pm, but we ended up returning to chuch at around 8pm and I got home at 9. It was really tiring, but really meaningful and fulfilling for me.
