slackers

A few more minutes till the end of 2002. Every year I do some sort of relection and thanksgiving; here’s part of this years.

Went with Darren, Florence and Ernest to check out some places for our treasure hunt in June since it’s a rather large-scale thing. It went quite well till after lunch, when all of us didn’t feel like continuing, so we slacked. *feels a bit bad* Went to play pool, and I just sat there watching them. I only know how to play online, so I wasn’t going to embarass myself in front of them even though they kept wanting to teach me. ^^ ; Shopped for a bit with Florence after that while the guys were banished to the arcade, and as expected they complained that we were taking so long. Typical guys. ;) Came home after that since there’s supposed to be a countdown at Ben’s house.

Decided not to go for the countdown since I was too lazy and my close friends were not going. Can’t possibly wake up at 8+am to go to church anyway, so I’ll just coutdown at home. ^^ ;

Happy New Year! :)

Mrs Tham

Went to Mrs Tham’s house with Winnie, Jun and Christine today. When we first saw Mrs Tham from the bus stop when we were still in the bus, all of us looked away. ^^ ; She seems to have grown shorter, but maybe that’s because we’ve grown taller? Or maybe because we haven’t seen her in so long. She made us sandwiches, then told us how she doesn’t cook with the stove because she fears that a fire will start each time she tries to light it. -.-;

Just sat there and talked the whole time; Mrs Tham was asking us about which JC we were going to and all that. Winnie, Christine and I refused to tell her. :p She still doesn’t know… unless Winnie decides to tell her in the email that is. Talked a bit about school and the teachers; I guess everywhere you go there’s bound to be competition, back-stabbing and everything. It’s just how you handle it.

Also looked at her wedding photos, and she finally gave us the copy she developed for us. Her wedding was 2 years ago! -.- Got quite a few pictures of Mr Wee there, and of course Winnie was swooning over him. LOL. But I guess we all ahve to admit he’s good looking. And still single! :D Too bad he’s too old. :(

Left for home around 6, with Mrs Tham still probing about which JC we were going to and telling us that we must visit her again and she’ll make salad and some chicken with apple stuff (something like that?) for us. But it was really nice being able to meet up with her after so long. :)

On the topic of guys, I think I’m over Joshua, for the moment at least. Hopefully forver, because I think we’re so much better off as friends. Just like how I’m glad I’m just friends with Jireh now; I got to know him so much better after that crush and everything, and he’s someone I can really communicate with. Recently I’ve been noticing Jing Kuang more and more… Please don’t let me start liking him or something. *bangs head on wall* No point anyway, since he’s going into the army on 22 Jan (my birthday, sobsob), and Serene likes him. Apparently. Who cares.

(The Mayfly Project) Summing up this year in 20 words:
‘O’-Levels. Stress. Graduation. Crush. Travel. Holidays. Carolling. Dreamed. Friendship. Gained. Confused. Hope. Church. Frustration. Cried. Learned. Thankful. Smiled. Still dreaming.

Bade goodbye to the J2s in Youth Group today; they will be moving up from next week onwards. As each of them shared their thoughts, I once again realised how much I treasured each of them even though I don’t know some very well. It’s just different as compared to when seniors from school leave… there’s just something… something I can’t explain. I have some sort of special bond with people from my church. I learnt a lot today, especially from what Mao shared. 2 years later, when it comes to my turn to share, I hope that I’ll be able to touch my juniors just as the J2s have touched me today. Never be afraid to cry in public. Treasure each and every person around you. Treasure the time you have with them. Learn to appreciate what you have. Give thanks.

meeting Josh

I met Joshua on the bus today! I got up the bus, then he saw me and was smiling from the back of the bus. Joined him there, then talked for a bit before he got off at school. I was really surprised to see him; he (almost) never takes public transport (his family owns 2 cars and his parents always fetch him) plus he was actually supposed to go to Malaysia with his family today. LOL. But I was really happy to see him, it sort of made my day. XD

Merry Christmas!

It’s Christmas here! Merry Christmas everyone! Do enjoy yourself today. :) Christmas is my favourite holiday, even though I don’t really celebrate it as in really celebrate (get what I mean? -.-). Christmas gives me a nice feeling. :) Off to enjoy myself a bit before going off to bed. :P
